- I absolutely love it how people get dressed up in fancy dress as part of the pub culture in Barnsley. Socialising is so intrinsic to life here and very different to that in Australia. During my time in England I have travelled the country extensively and passionately and am always, like the costumes, blown away by the eclectic treasures which characterise each person or place. England, especially the North, never ceases to amaze, inspire and educate me.
